Ranch Rags was established in 2009 by Channon Vath and Kenzie Busch. After 2 years of being in business together, Kenzie decided to pursue her other interests. She no doubt had the full support of her business partner and friend. RR is now fully owned and operated by Channon Vath and headquartered in her hometown of San Juan Capistrano.
As the founder of Ranch Rags, Channon has homegrown roots in the western world. For her it's simple, a cute pair of jeans, a good horse, and a great country song and she's about as happy as a girl can be. The fiery leo was born and raised in San Juan Capistrano, California. She grew up listening to classic country music played by her father, Joel. While her dad provided a great soundtrack to her life, her mother Wanda taught her to ride. Saddling up is always a priority for Channon and is the place where she finds the most peace. In the summer of 2001, Channon's mom surprised her with a trip to the Met in New York to view Jackie Kennedy's clothing on display. This planted a seed and from that point on she always knew she'd end up designing clothes at one point in her life, when the time was right. Channon also holds a master's degree in counseling and has worked in many high schools in Southern California. While she deeply misses seeing her students on a daily basis, Channon has big plans for Ranch Rags to use its popularity to make an impact in the critical issues that high school life can bring.
While the RR team spends most of their time working hard, laughter is a constant throughout their sometimes hectic days. Every time a design is created or a shirt is printed, the team is high-fiving, celebrating, and almost immediately sharing their next idea and on to the next project. This team doesn't know how to do anything with half their hearts and you can count on their dedication and passion to bringing you quality "rags" as their number one priority.
